To provide the best possible education for our students. Brooklyn Prospect Charter School depends on parent/guardian involvement. The school assists in the maintenance of a strong parent teacher student organization (“PTSO”) and considers the full team of Parent/Teacher/Administrator/Teacher partnership to be a very important component of each student’s success. Communication with parents is an important tool in supporting our students. At Brooklyn Prospect we encourage parents to reach out directly to the school, beginning with the student’s faculty advisor, as needed. Monthly PTSO meetings are a good way to provide all parents in the Brooklyn Prospect community with access to school administrators and faculty in a timely and effective manner that is open and welcoming to all families. Attendance at PTSO meetings, during which the school administration is available to address questions, is robust. Meeting dates are set at the beginning of each year, and we hope all parents make an effort to attend when possible. Parent volunteers are welcome partners in our school. If you are interested in being a volunteer at Brooklyn Prospect, please contact your PTSO leadership at ptso@brooklynprospect.org. Some examples of how volunteers may assist include events, publications, fundraisers, and as guest speakers on careers and special interests.
