Brooklyn Prospect Partners with District

Brooklyn Prospect’s Windsor Terrace Middle School and Downtown Elementary School have both been accepted into the District-Charter Collaborative (DCC) for the next two years. The program is designed to facilitate collaboration between district and charter schools, with the aim of improving instructional practices and student outcomes while also building schools’ capacity to solve their own problems of practice and eliminate achievement disparities along the lines of race.

DCC schools work together over two academic years in professional learning communities, composed of four schools (both district and charter), known as quads. Quads engage in a series of monthly intervisitations, professional development, and regular school planning meetings that utilize the inquiry process to drive collective learning.

We are thrilled that two of our schools have been selected to participate in such a valuable program and look forward to working closely with, and learning from, our district counterparts!
