Community Resources for Cleveland Voters

Community Resources for Cleveland Voters

As many of the members in our community know, we have two important elections coming up in Cleveland. On Tuesday, August 3, 2021, voters will determine who is on the ballot for the congressional seat left vacant by Marcia Fudge, who is now serving as the US Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, in a Special Congressional Primary Election. Then, on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, voters will elect Fudge’s replacement and will cast their vote in the mayoral election.

Both of these races are critical. Having just witnessed Pittsburgh and Buffalo reject the status quo and get behind new leadership, it is clear that we have a similar opportunity in our city—but only if everyone registers and does their part.

Whether you have been here for two years or twenty, it’s important for you to show up this fall and make your voice heard. The issues we care about—like climate, public health, transit, racial equity, and a functioning local government—are on the line.

To ensure that our residents have access to the resources they need to make an informed decision when they cast their ballot this fall, we wanted to share the following resources with you:

ACLU of Ohio

The mission of the American Civil Liberties Union of Ohio is to aid in maintaining and extending constitutional and other fundamental rights, liberties, privileges, and immunities, and to take legitimate action in furtherance of that object without political partisanship. The ACLU of Ohio is an affiliate of the national ACLU.

Cleveland VOTES
