Prospectors from International Elementary School (IES) are finalists in News 12 Brooklyn’s Sounds of the Season contest. This is the second year in a row singers from Mr. Kyle Garcia’s class made it to the top 12 of the annual contest.
Last year, IES placed third and had their performance featured on News 12 as part of “Songs of the Season,” which featured the winning singing groups across the borough.
This year’s contest entry features Mr. Kyle’s entire 5th grade singing “It Feels New,” by the producer and music composer Pinkzebra.
“The song is about the change of a seasons as we’re approaching winter, but, also, we’re in a new building here, our new home for IES,” said Mr. Kyle. “Singing, ‘It feels new,’ just felt so perfect.”
